A little work of textile art, framed in zari.

The terracotta-rose body has a clean, uncluttered surface that draws attention to its central circular medallion. The medallion features a stylised bird or parrot-inspired composition with fine ornamental detailing. A broad gold zari border adds definition and richness.

The peach-gold pallu is densely patterned with repeating geometric and ornamental designs, framed by multiple zari bands. The detailed pallu complements the illustrated medallion on the body and gives the saree a cohesive folk-art-inspired look.

Woven on traditional handlooms in lightweight vegan soft silk, this design brings together a fluid drape and rich zari detailing. The multi-colour weave creates a colour-changing effect, allowing the saree to reveal different tones as the light shifts from daylight to warm indoor lighting.

Vegan silk, thoughtfully chosen. The yarn is viscose spun from wood pulp and woven on traditional looms. It offers the soft sheen and graceful fall associated with silk, without using silkworm-derived silk.

Colour note for customers

These sarees are woven to change shade with the light. Photographs are taken in daylight; expect the body to look deeper and warmer under indoor lighting. Screens differ too. If an exact shade matters for a matching outfit, message us on WhatsApp and we will send a short video in both lights before you order.

Artisan weaving handloom silk

The Story of This Piece

Woven in the loom of history

Our Emerald Handloom Silk Sari is crafted using a centuries-old technique preserved by master weavers in the heart of Varanasi. Each thread of pure Mulberry silk is painstakingly interlocked by hand over 14 days.

This piece represents more than just attire—it is a preservation of identity. The gold 'Zari' work follows the 'Banarasi' tradition, featuring motifs inspired by the Mughal era's floral gardens. By choosing this piece, you support the livelihood of independent artisans and the continuation of India's textile legacy.
