The taupe-brown body is intentionally
restrained, with a small scattered motif and a prominent framed ornamental
panel that gives the saree its character. A broad gold zari border runs along
the edge, adding structure and a warm metallic accent.
The peach-toned pallu is filled with
repeated geometric frames and stylised bird-like or folk-art-inspired motifs,
outlined in darker detailing and touches of gold and yellow. The patterned
panel has the character of a textile illustration, creating a lively contrast
with the simpler body.
Woven on traditional handlooms in
lightweight vegan soft silk, this design brings together a fluid drape and rich
zari detailing. The multi-colour weave creates a colour-changing effect,
allowing the saree to reveal different tones as the light shifts from daylight
to warm indoor lighting.
Vegan silk, thoughtfully chosen. The yarn
is viscose spun from wood pulp and woven on traditional looms. It offers the
soft sheen and graceful fall associated with silk, without using
silkworm-derived silk.
