Welcome to Vastraranjaka. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1. About Vastraranjaka
Vastraranjaka offers sarees and related products through its online store. References to “we”, “us” or “our” mean Vastraranjaka, operated by Jayashree, having its principal business address at Bengaluru.
2. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product photographs, descriptions, colours, fabric details, zari details, measurements and other specifications.
Please note:
Actual colours may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting and device displays.
Handloom and handcrafted products may have minor variations in texture, weave, motifs, zari appearance or finish.
Such natural variations may be characteristic of the product and should not be confused with a defect.
Product-specific details, including fabric composition, origin, blouse-piece details and care instructions, should be checked on the relevant product page.
We will not knowingly misrepresent a product or its material characteristics.
3. Prices and taxes
Prices are displayed in [INR] unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges and other mandatory charges will be disclosed during checkout before payment. We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or listing errors, subject to applicable law and appropriate communication with affected customers.
4. Orders and acceptance
When you place an order, you are submitting a purchase request.
An order is considered accepted when Vastraranjaka confirms it through an order confirmation or other written communication. We may contact you if clarification is required.
We may decline or cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including product unavailability, payment failure, incorrect listing information, delivery restrictions or suspected fraudulent activity. If payment has already been collected for an order cancelled by us, an appropriate refund will be initiated to the original payment method.
5. Payment terms
Full payment is required at checkout.
Orders are processed after successful payment confirmation.
Partial payments, instalments and balance payments after delivery are not currently offered.
Payment methods available to customers will be shown during checkout.
Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers under their own terms and security practices.
6. Shipping and delivery
Delivery coverage, estimated timelines, shipping charges and tracking arrangements are explained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Delivery timelines are estimates unless a specific delivery commitment is expressly communicated. We will keep customers informed of material delivery issues and handle delayed or undelivered orders in accordance with applicable law.
7. Returns, replacements and refunds
Our Return & Replacement Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy form part of these Terms & Conditions.
We do not accept ordinary change-of-mind returns. However, eligible concerns such as defective, damaged, incorrect or materially misdescribed products, and other circumstances requiring a remedy under applicable law, will be handled fairly.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Product care
Please follow the care instructions provided with the product or on its product page. Sarees may require fabric-appropriate handling and professional cleaning.
Damage caused by improper washing, ironing, storage, alteration or use after delivery may not qualify as a product defect.
9. Website use
You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit false information or use the website for unlawful purposes.
Website content, including product photographs, text, graphics, logos and design elements, may not be copied, reproduced or commercially used without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
10. Third-party services
Our store may rely on third-party services for ecommerce hosting, payment processing, analytics, communication and delivery. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Vastraranjaka will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in this clause limits liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including remedies relating to defective goods, misleading descriptions or deficient services.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. The terms applicable to an order will be those in force at the time the order is placed, subject to applicable law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Consumer complaints and disputes may be addressed through the remedies and forums available under applicable Indian law. Nothing in this clause takes away a consumer's statutory rights.
